Explore Computer Science Research

Learn about grad school, experience working on a research problem, receive mentoring, network with faculty and graduate students

The Department of Computer Science and Statistics at the University of Rhode Island is organizing a 3-day workshop to explore Graduate School and Research in Computer Science, sponsored by an ExploreCSR grant from Google. During this experience, students will attend talks, receive mentorship, and complete a small research project. The workshop is intended to increase the participation of underrepresented groups, but we encourage all undergraduate students who are interested to apply. Participation is FREE however space is limited and students are required to submit an application form. All accepted participants will be provided gift cards for lunch and other expenses during the 3-day workshop.

      • Priority deadline February 15, 2021 (extended to February 19, 2021)

      • Final deadline March 14, 2021


  • Workshop Days: April 8-10, 2021 (conducted via Zoom)


(*) We strongly encourage sending your applications before the priority deadline, this is a limited capacity event. Applications will be processed after the priority deadline on a space available basis.
